Foreign news: UK banks may be forced to sell VocaLink

The United Kingdom Payment Systems Regulator has issued a report recommending that UK banks be forced to sell VocaLink, a payment network that processes the bulk of the country's salaries, household bill payments and state benefits, the BBC reports. The regulator wants to see new competitors in the market and greater innovation in service offerings.
