Foreign news: US bank CEO says Apple Pay usage 'practically zero', Swedish P2P shuts down after misc
Chief executive of the US bank BankMobile, Jay Sidhu, said customer's use of Apple Pay was "practically zero". Sidhu said BankMobile signed on for Apple Pay when it was launched but the only benefit so far has been "some good publicity". Sidhu said the problem with Apple Pay was that it was simply a replacement for a payment card and was not offering customers anything really innovative. Swedish peer-to-peer lender TrustBuddy has suspended operations after reporting to Sweden's securities regulator that there was a "discrepancy" in its accounts, Finextra reports. An investigation into the company's finances revealed that it had been using lenders' funds "in violation of their instructions or without their permission". The company has installed new management.
