French recycled as CBA customer advocate
Commonwealth Bank on Friday said it had established a "new customer advocate function."Its newness may be debatable, as the bank also announced that "heading this function will be Brendan French, executive general manager customer advocacy and remediation," a post French has held for two years. The customer advocate function, CBA said, would focus on "driving for fair customer outcomes and complaint resolutions", "proactively looking for areas where there is the potential for customer concerns to arise and taking action" and "ensuring that we remediate affected customers in a quality, consistent and timely way."CBA said the customer advocate would report to the group executive marketing and strategy, Vittoria Shortt. "The function will be centralised and therefore separate from the day-to-day running of the group's business units," Shortt said in a media release.
