GE picks new president

Geoff Culbert will take over as president and chief executive of GE Australia & New Zealand, replacing Steve Sargent.Sargent is to take up the role of president and CEO of GE Mining, the group's global mining technology and services business. He will remain based in Sydney.Culbert joined GE in Australia in 2002. In 2007 he moved to Japan as general counsel for GE Capital Asia, according to the biography provided by GE.His most recent role was vice president and general counsel, GE Global Growth Organisation.
