Genworth confirms CFO departure
Mortgage insurer Genworth Australia has confirmed that its chief financial officer Paul Fegan has resigned. In a statement issued yesterday, the company said Fegan would be replaced by Georgette Nicholas, who is currently investor relations leader at Genworth Financial Inc.Nicholas has previously held the role of CFO of Genworth's US mortgage insurance business.Genworth Australia's chief executive, Ellie Comerford said in the statement that the appointment strengthened the company's senior leadership team.However, Genworth Australia has suffered some instability in its senior ranks. Other relatively recent departures include Martha Ryan, the head of legal services, and Paul Caputo, the chief risk officer.Fegan served in his role for just a year.A source said the company was still confident of completing its initial public offering in the first half of next year.
