Goldfields flies brand kite
WA-based ADI Goldfields Money is to change its name for the second time in six years.A "rebrand" and "a compelling brand strategy" were among guides on its thinking in an ASX announcement yesterday on finalising a A$4.3 million capital raising.The additional capital lifts the baby bank's capital by around one quarter to around $21 million.Whatever the new brand is, it will be rolled out around mid-year.Simon Lyons, chief executive of Goldfields, said it was an "exciting and progressive rebrand ... supported by extensive market research."The former Goldfields Credit Union, with origins in Kalgoorlie, adopted its present brand the year it demutualised in 2012.Pioneer Credit and FirstMac each own 15 per cent stakes in Goldfields.
