Household credit demand takes a breather
Demand for credit during September quarter 2015 was at its highest on record at A$106 billion, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said yesterday.But household demand for credit - totalling $24.2 billion - took a breather over the quarter, well short of the ''high demands" of $37.3 billion recorded in the June quarter 2015, the ABS said.Business borrowed a tad more than households over the quarter, at $25.5 billion, but sourced more than that ($29 billion) through shares and other equity.
