Joust mortgage marketplace poised for debut
Seven lenders have signed on for a novel market place, one that its founders say will directly connect consumers with lenders 'live' so that bids from the lenders can be seen in real time.Adelaide-based Joust is the brainchild of Mark Bevan and Richard Hockney, a pair with more than 60 years combined banking experience with major banks Commonwealth Bank, National Australia Bank and Westpac.Lenders listed yesterday as being involved include Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, Peoples Choice Credit Union, Westpac (through its BankSA brand), Bank of Queensland, Gateway Credit Union and Australian Unity.The firm expects to open the marketplace on May 30.
