ME looks west for CIO
ME has appointed former Bankwest executive Matt Toohey as chief information officer at the bank.Toohey joined ME this week and has been charged with overseeing the rollout of new digital distribution channels across the business. These must build on the Temenos T24 back office platform chosen (a decade ago now) by the bank as prop in elevating the customer experience from ME.Finding value from the A$100 million ME sunk recently into a brand new core banking system is now Toohey's remit. In his previous role Toohey was general manager of delivery and software engineering at Bankwest and before that was CIO at Wesfarmers.
