Money3 reports strong earnings growth
Short-term lender Money3 released brief details of its unaudited accounts yesterday. They show a big increase in net profit, but only a modest increase in earnings per share.Money3's net profit for the year to June was A$5.2 million, compared with $3.6 million for the previous corresponding period - an increase of 44.4 per cent.However, earnings per share rose by only 4.9 per cent, to 6.16 cents a share.The lower EPS growth figure was the result of a $15.9 million capital raising during the year.The company's loan book grew by 53.2 per cent, from $17 million in the previous corresponding period to $31.2 million.
