Mortgage Choice moves into car finance
Mortgage Choice has entered the car finance market, establishing a new business called Mortgage Choice Asset Finance that will offer borrowers access to 25 lenders, a car buying service and insurance. The company is hoping to build on the "relationships" it establishes with its home loan customers.Mortgage Choice general manager product Emma Dupont-Brown said: "Through Mortgage Choice Asset Finance we are one step closer to being a full financial services provider."The launch of the new business is a return to business expansion for Mortgage Choice, after it closed a business last year and sold another at the end of 2013.In September it closed a comparison website business Help Me Choose after it turned into a loss maker. In 2013 it gave up on a four-year attempt to establish itself in the aggregator market, when it sold LoanKit - another loss maker.
