MyState upgrade gives customers a 'balance peek'
MyState is maintaining the pace of investment in its banking services, with the launch of a new internet banking platform and new mobile banking apps.The mobile banking app features a "balance peek" facility, which allows customers to check their account balances with a swipe of the phone screen.Customers can log out of a mobile banking session by shaking the phone or turning the screen down.MyState chief executive Melos Sulicich said: "Customers want banking to be almost effortless when they need it to be but also secure."MyState's banking operations are split between Tasmanian-based MyState Bank and North Queensland-based The Rock.The new services were developed by Rubik Financial, a banking software company.The internet banking platform features two-factor SMS authentication for "important" transactions, the ability to reset passwords online, electronic statements, online mortgage redraw and the ability to cancel a card online.
