National Australia Bank's new chief executive, Cameron Clyne, will move the chief executive's office to Sydney (and into the Bank's New South Wales headquarters in George Street) from the bank's traditional (but divided) HQs at Bourke Street and Docklands in Melbourne, the
Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Meanwhile
The Times speculated that National Australia Bank may seek to sell its Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Bank brands in Britain, but beyond the change of CEO at NAB this week and Cameron Clyne's stated objective of increasing returns did not elaborate on this point. The Financial Review's Street Talk column and the Sydney Morning Herald's business lead followed up The Times' speculation.
