NAB keeps merchants waiting

National Australia Bank yesterday left merchant customers struggling to reconcile Sunday and Monday payments.NAB in an emailed statement yesterday confirmed "a processing issue overnight caused delays to the settlement of funds for some NAB merchants, including some NAB merchants with other bank settlement accounts."The bank planned to correct the error overnight.Merchants shared stories of a system glitch at NAB that prevented settlements of credit card transactions processed in the Monday settlement period (Sunday evening to Monday evening) and advice from the bank that merchants would see settlements hitting their accounts today.
