NetBank off and on for a day
Commonwealth Bank negotiated a day of restricted access to its internet banking services yesterday, though on this occasion most of the strife was confined to customers seeking access through conventional browser software.CBA described the problems as one of intermittent access, with customer complaints on the grizzle stream that is Twitter citing inability to make bill payments, transfer funds and check balances even if they managed to log in to the service. After being unavailable at times earlier in the day the bank restored services through mobile banking, and the bank referred customers to that as an option as well as to telephone banking services.Commonwealth posted an advisory at around 10pm eastern Australian time that the problems with NetBank were finally resolved, about 12 hours after the problems emerged.
