Non-bank home lenders, no doubt meaning non-deposit taking entities, continue to account for the majority of repossession notices in Victoria.
The Herald Sun reported that lenders have launched action to resume 707 properties, worth more than $200 million, in the past three months. Courts granted 3001 repossession notices in Victoria during 2007.
Repossession claims were the most concentrated in outer-suburban growth corridors including Melton, Narre Warren, Cranbourne and Berwick.
