Pioneer Credit acquires Switchmyloan

07 March 2016 5:09PM
Impaired debt buyer Pioneer Credit has acquired a mortgage broking business, Switchmyloan. The deal follows Pioneer's launch of a broking business last month.Switchmyloan is an online service that uses an introducer model. Borrowers provide details of the loan they are looking for and their financial circumstances, and Switchmyloan matches them to three lenders with "appropriate but competing" offers. Pioneer Credit said in a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange that it was attracted to Switchmyloan's core competencies, which "are principally around digital innovation and an impressive presence in the online market."Switchmyloan will be integrated with Pioneer's full service brokerage, so that borrowers can choose between an online service or dealing with a broker.
