Splitit partners with Stripe
Instalment payment specialist Splitit has formed a partnership with the payments processing company Stripe, which will see Splitit's product integrated with Stripe Connect.Splitit said in a statement that the partnership would "streamline merchant onboarding, providing technology to enable merchants to self-onboard to Splitit's platform." That process is currently done manually.Splitit will pay a percentage of each transaction processed via Stripe Connect to Stripe.The announcement of the partnership with Stripe is one of several recent developments at Splitit. Earlier this month the company announced that it had registered with Austrac to allow it to provide factoring services in Australia - what it calls its "funded merchant model".In other company news, co-founder and general managers for Europe Middle East and Asia, Gil Don, resigned from the company, effective January 21.Michael DeFrance, a non-executive director, has also left the company.Brad Paterson, who joined the company in June last year and was appointed chief executive in October, has been appointed to the board.Jan Koelble, a New York based investment manager, has also joined the board.
