Suncorp Bank removes transaction account fees
Suncorp has removed all fees for personal and business transaction accounts, claiming to be the first of the major or regional banks to do so.Suncorp Bank executive general manager for deposits and payments, Bruce Rush, said in a statement that the bank wanted to make banking simple and easy for customers. Rush said the bank was also responding to Deloitte research showing fees are the biggest determining factor when people select an everyday bank account."We know that account keeping fees on deposit accounts is the number one frustration," he said.Suncorp customers with a personal deposit account will save up to A$60 a year. Small business customers will save up to $240 a year per account.
