Verrency appoints Mastercard executive to advisory role
Digital payments services provider, Verrency, has appointed veteran Mastercard executive Jan McGrath to its global advisory board.The Melbourne-based company, which has developed an international platform to support banks and other card issuers widen services to cardholders, recently raised $20 million from investors in Asia and Australia.The fresh appointment comes ahead of a big marketing pitch to US investors later this year.McGrath joins a star-studded advisory board that includes WorldPay North America CEO Royal Cole and Finastra head of payments, Paul Thomalla.McGrath has worked in the financial services for more than 35 years and is best known as a business innovator across most payments channels.In her most recent executive roles at Mastercard, McGrath has been responsible for business transformation in the Australia and the rollout of chip cards in the United States.
