Westpac is making plans to offshore 83 jobs, from sites in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne, to India, the Finance sector Union said on Friday.The job shifts affect staff in the bank's business consumer lending, group finance and business consumer services units.  Westpac advised that these changes will not happen until next year, and that "all we have done internally is announce that a review is under way."Westpac said it "proposed to outsource a number of roles to external providers", and put the number of affected staff at around 80.
