John Kavanagh
  • ANZ has appointed its inaugural head of environmental markets. Andreas Kodell, who takes on the role, joined ANZ last year as an ESG adviser, moving from KEAL Capital, where he was a partner. ANZ has also appointed Stuart Smith as head of commodities in the bank’s markets business. Smith, who will be based in Singapore, joins from Citigroup, where he was head of commodities for Asia Pacific.
  • REA Group has appointed Anthony Waldron as chief executive of its financial services division, which includes the merged Mortgage Choice and Smartline businesses. Waldron spent 12 years at NAB, where his roles included head of strategy execution for personal banking. He joined REA in November last year and has been acting Mortgage Choice CEO since Susan Mitchell quit in February. In his expanded role he replaces Janelle Hopkins, who is leaving after three years as head of financial services.
