Briefs: ANZ offers gender affirmation leave, free NBN with a CBA home loan

ANZ has introduced gender affirmation leave for staff undergoing social, medical or legal gender affirmation. Trans and gender diverse staff in Australia and New Zealand will be able to access six weeks of paid leave and up to 12 months unpaid leave.
Commonwealth Bank has come up with a novel marketing pitch to attract new home loan business – it is offering approved home loan customers a free NBN plan for 36 months. It estimates the value of the plan at A$2700. The offer is in conjunction with the bank’s partner, telco provider More, and shows how the bank is starting to develop its value proposition using the growing number of third-party service providers it is working with. The bank said it wants to help home buyers manage the pressures of rising cost of living.
