ANZ has expanded its Samsung Pay capability, allowing debit card customers to choose the eftpos network when making a payment. eftpos said consumer benefits include the ability to track balances in real time and cash out at a payment terminal. The increase in the contactless card payment limit from A$100 to $200, which was to run until March 17, has been extended to June 17. The $200 limit has been in place since April last year. Australian Payments Network said it would continue to review its COVID-19 response and consult with government.
