Briefs: ARCA appoints CEO, new Bendigo and Adelaide chief customer officer, MoneyMe enters securitis
The Australian Retail Credit Association has appointed Elsa Markula as its new chief executive, replacing the retiring Mike Laing. A lawyer, Markula has worked at ARCA since 2013, first as legal and regulatory affairs manager and then executive director regulatory. She also worked at the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Bendigo and Adelaide Bank has appointed Adam Rowse to the role of chief customer officer business and agribusiness. Rowse has spent the past 14 years in London at Barclays Bank, where his roles included head of business banking and head of physical banking (responsible for the branch network). He started his career at NAB.
Consumer lender MoneyMe has entered the securitisation market, completing its first term securitisation and raising A$200 million. The deal was a private placement with three Australian investors and no pricing details were disclosed. The company said it now has funding facilities worth $1.6 billion, with undrawn capacity of $388 million. MoneyMe completed the acquisition of SocietyOne in March and the combined businesses have receivables of $1.2 billion.
