Briefs: Broker faces 74 charges, FSA chair retires
Loan broker Trevor William King of Sydney is facing 74 charges of making false documents. King part-owned and operated two brokerage businesses, JT King Finance and Australia Enterprises. The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions, upon referral from ASIC, alleges that between 2013 and 2016 King made 57 false payslips, nine false PAYG payment summaries and eight false real estate documents with the intention of using them to support loan applications for clients.
The chair of debt management company and lender FSA Group, David Bower, is stepping down after seven years on the board. The company has announced the appointment of Cellina Chen as an executive director. She has been at the company since 2001 and is its chief financial officer.
