Briefs: New AFCA lead banking ombudsman, CreditorWatch ISO accredited
The Australian Financial Complaints Authority has appointed Natalie Cameron as its lead ombudsman for banking and finance. Cameron, who has acted in the role since January, is moving from her current job as AFCA’s lead ombudsman for investments and advice. Shail Singh is now acting lead ombudsman for investment and advice. Cameron is a lawyer, starting her career at Clayton Utz before joining ASIC. She has also worked at insurer AIA Australia, where she was general counsel, and MLC Life, where she was chief claims officer and then chief operating officer.
Commercial credit reporting bureau CreditorWatch has had its information security management and cloud security controls certified by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), meeting the ISO 27001 and ISO 27107 standards. The CreditorWatch system is 100 per cent cloud-based, built on the AWS platform, and has achieved 99.9 per cent uptime.
