ANZ said it appointed Paul White as Divisional Chief Information Officer for the Australia business. Currently as the head of ANZ Wealth, White has been responsible for Wealth Technology, Operations, Customer Resolution and finalising the divestment of ANZ’s former life insurance, superannuation and third-party advice businesses to Zurich and IOOF. Prior to joining ANZ in 2014, White held tech roles at HSBC in the United Kingdom and Switzerland. He will report to ANZ's Group Executive, Technology, Gerard Florian. White "will be responsible for setting and implementing the overarching technology vision and strategy for ANZ’s Australia business, including ANZX," the bank said.
New Zealand’s Financial Sector (Climate-related Disclosures and Other Matters) Amendment Bill has passed into law, making New Zealand the first country in the world to force banks and other financial sector companies including insurers and investment schemes to disclose detailed information on the impact of climate change on their business as well as how they will manage climate-related risk.
