Briefs: Volt completes return of deposits, former PEXA boss to lead Iress
Volt Bank has completed the return of deposits to customers, APRA reported yesterday. Volt announced its decision to stop offering banking services and hand back its ADI licence on June 29. At the time it had 5730 customers with A$107 million of deposits. Most of the money was transferred by customers to other banks but $113,073 in 441 accounts was transferred to NAB, awaiting instructions from customers. Volt will hand back its licence in the next couple of weeks.
Financial software and services company Iress has hired former PEXA chief executive Marcus Price as its new CEO. Price has also had executive positions at NAB, Boston Consulting Group and Equifax. He replaces Andrew Walsh, who is moving on after leading Iress since 2009.
