Briefs: Zip continues divestment, Cloudfloat hires chief customer officer
Zip has signed agreements to divest two of its overseas businesses, Twisto in Eastern Europe and Payflex in South Africa. Zip is now focused on Australasian and US operations, having closed businesses in the UK and Singapore. It is in the process of getting out of Mexico. Businesses still to be sold or closed include Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
Former Paypal executive Tyson Hackwood has joined small business finance company start-up Cloudfloat as its chief customer officer. Cloudfloat provides cashflow finance, operating on a digital platform. Hackwood has also had an executive role at Braintree.
