Former Bank of Montreal executive Andrew Irvine has joined National Australia Bank, where he will run the business and private banking division.
He replaces Anthony Healy, who left the bank in April. Healy was the second senior executive to leave the bank this year; the head of consumer banking Mike Baird also left in April.
Irvine had worked at Bank of Montreal since 2008, most recently as head of Canadian business banking. He also worked as the bank’s head of customer solutions.
Before working at Bank of Montreal, he worked at McKinsey & Co as an associate principal in Toronto.
He is currently chair of the Canadian payments company Moneris.
Irvine will start at NAB on September 1.
