The value of payments made using NPP Australia’s Osko service grew by more than 20 per cent last year and hit a monthly value of A$100 billion in December. The number of Osko payments grew by 19.5 per cent over the year, reaching 81 million in December. Osko recorded the strongest growth of any consumer and commercial payment method over the year. Purchases on personal credit and charge cards in December were worth $27 billion – an increase of 8.4 per cent over December 2021. Purchases on commercial credit and charge cards in December were worth $7.4 billion – an increase of 21.8 per cent. Purchases on debit cards in December were worth $42.6 billion – an increase of 11.7 per cent.
