Renewal in APRA senior ranks

APRA has announced changes to its executive ranks, including the appointment of a new executive director insurance, a new general counsel and a new chief financial officer.

Sean Carmody and Brandon Khoo are swapping jobs. Carmody will move from his current role of executive director cross-industry insight and data to take over as executive director insurance.

Khoo, who is the current executive director insurance, will take on the role of executive director cross-industry insights and data.

APRA general counsel Warren Scott is retiring after 13 years at APRA. From April 15, current general manager legal and deputy general counsel Lucinda McCann will become APRA general counsel.

Sharon Burns has been appointed chief financial officer. Burns is moving to APRA from Suncorp, where she was executive manager wealth performance management. Before that she worked at the New South Wales government workers compensation insurer icare and NAB.
