$A funding appeals to BofA and EDC

In other domestic market news, Bank of America (A+) was meeting with investors last week, on a non-deal roadshow. Bank of America last issued here in February 2007, when it raised A$1.0 billion for five years at just 18 basis points over bank bills. At the same time, it sold A$200 million of subordinated bonds at just 38 bps over.

Bank of America still has almost A$3.4 billion of bonds outstanding, with maturities ranging from August this year (A$1.0 billion) to June 2016.         
Export Development Canada (AAA), which has been mooted as a potential kangaroo issuer in the past, was also meeting with investors last week.
