Briefs: ANZ aims for workplace flexibility, banks using inducements to win super business 02 March 2015 4:27PM Banking Day staff Briefs, ANZ chief executive Mike Smith has sent an email to senior staff saying he wants workplace flexibility to become the norm at the bank. According to The Australian, Smith's email said: "We will actively dismantle any perceived career barrier linked to work flexibility." He said he wanted ANZ to be a leader in "people and diversity initiatives". Smith is a member of Male Champions of Change. All four big banks offered business inducements, including free tickets to sporting events, lower insurance premiums and cheaper interest rates on business overdrafts if employers switched staff default superannuation funds to the bank's retail finds, according to a report in the Australian Financial Review.
