Cash Plus moves ATM business to Bendigo 04 May 2010 4:30PM John Kavanagh New Zealand ATM deployer Cash Plus yesterday announced that it would embark on a big push in the Australian market after signing a partnership deal with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank.Cash Plus managing director David Dickinson said his goal was to deploy 1500 to 2000 machines throughout Australia.Cash Plus was the first independent ATM company in New Zealand. It has been operating in that market for four years and has a fleet of 300 machines.Dickinson said the group has had a hard time getting New Zealand banks to use its network and is still negotiating with ANZ National.The company entered the Australian market a year ago and has set up a network of 160 machines in partnership with First Data International and Indue. Explaining the move to Bendigo, Dickinson said he was keen to work with a bank. Bendigo will act as acquirer for Cash Plus, and Strategic Payment Services, which is jointly owned by Bendigo and MasterCard, will do the switching.Cash Plus is currently deploying about 40 machines a month. Dickinson said some of those machines will be branded Bendigo Bank and others will be branded Cash Plus.Bendigo offers its customers access to 1100 ATMs.
