Equator Principles old hat at NAB

Ian Rogers
National Australia Bank said it adopted the Equator Principles as "a global social and environmental benchmark for financing projects greater than US$10 million."

The bank follows the lead of Westpac and ANZ, and 19 international banks, in adopting the principles.

The move may be symbolic if there's any truth in NAB's assertion in a media release on the decision yesterday that " the bank's project finance credit risk policies have been guided by the Equator Principles' requirements for at least a decade."
