Gateway strife lingers for Post

Payments gateways SecurePay and DirectOne muddled along with the resolution of their week old operational problems over the weekend.

"The team continue to resolve the DirectOne hosted page issue," SecurePay said on its Twitter feed on Saturday, not long after confirming: "Work continues to restore service to Direct One."

SecurePay had been attempting since Tuesday to present a message that its services were back in business.

Australia Posts owns SecurePay and DirectOne. There is scant data on the reach of the two entities, but tens of thousands of merchant customers must have had cash flow interrupted by the week-long outage.
