FlexiGroup has issued an update on its re-branded "buy now pay later" offering, humm, reporting that a number of merchants have signed up in recent months.
FlexiGroup's new merchant partners include online furniture and homewares retailer Temple & Webster, homewares retailer Williams Sonoma, solar panel provider Sunboost, electrical goods retailers Bing Lee and Bi-Rite, electrical and furniture retailer Betta Electrical and consumer electronics retailers Retravision and Jaycar.
Dental clinic operator 1300 Smiles has also signed up.
humm, which was launched in May, is a consolidation of two existing products, Certegy EziPay and OxiPay, which have been in the market for many years.
FlexiGroup said that in the month after the relaunch, transaction volume increase by 22 per cent.
humm's big selling point is that consumers can use it to make delayed payments totalling up to A$30,000 without any direct interest cost. For purchases above $2000 there is a fee of $8 a month. Rivals, such as Afterpay and Zip, are designed for smaller purchases.
