Zach May was counsel to a commissioner at the US SEC. Shifting from ISA to IFM in a week.
The IFM Investors and Industry Super Australia cohabitation is spawning new management, with Zachary May picked for a newly-established role of executive director, strategy and policy at IFM.

May brings rare experience to the Australian money manager, an outfit jostling for the permanent, top ranking in the field of money management.

May was director of policy at Industry Super, a job he held since arriving from the US in 2012.

Prior to joining ISA, May was Counsel to Commissioner Luis A. Aguilar at the United States Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC), where he assisted with the US regulatory response to the global financial crisis.  He has also worked as a Senior Counsel for the US Office of General Counsel.

May will have a slot on IFM Investors' external relations team, where, IFM said, he "will work with the firm's clients and communicate with regulators on a global level, to drive the firm's contribution to public policy excellence and assist with positioning the firm strategically for growth.

May starts with IFM Investors on March 4.
