Orderly promotions for ANZ retail brass

Jenny Fagg, managing director of consumer finance at ANZ, will take over as managing director of ANZ National Bank's retail business in New Zealand.

Fagg's promotion, which was announced yesterday, follows the move by Craig Sims from National Bank to the role of chief executive for the Pacific.

There will be some changes to local executive roles as a result of Fagg's move. John Harries, currently managing director of banking products, will take up the role of managing director consumer finance.

The job covers responsibility for credit cards, personal loans, ATMs, online banking and the Australian contact centre.

Louis Hawke's responsibilities as managing director retail banking will be expanded to cover banking products.
