POLi limitations hold back growth

POLi has some significant limitations, including only working with two browsers - Internet Explorer v.6.0 & above and Mozilla Firefox v.3.0 & above. Macintosh is also not supported.

In Australia POLi works with the major banks and Bank of Queensland, BankWest, St.George and Suncorp only.

In New Zealand, TSB, ANZ, Westpac, Bank of New Zealand, ASB, KiwiBank, and National Bank of New Zealand are supported.

In the UK, where Centricom is partnering with NEOVIA Financial (formerly the NETELLER Group who bought a 25 per cent stake in Centricom in 2007), POLi works with NatWest, HSBC, Barclays, First Direct, Halifax and RBS.

POLi introduced its second generation software platform earlier this year and has since moved beyond the online gambling segment to sign up three airlines, a travel agency and two NZ government departments. Warner says POLi is focused on prepaid mobile, remittances and government departments for growth.

"Since the second-gen POLi went live we have really started re-engaging with the big banks here," says Simon Warner, CEO of Centricom, the owners of POLi.

"We listened to them, the customers and our merchants, in the redesign of  our platform and it is now safer, more customer facing, more customer agnostic, it is easier to use."
