The Reserve Bank of Australia is wearing the blame for an industry-wide NPP/Osko outage overnight.
The Twitter feed of Commonwealth Bank (for once) engaged with aggravated customers, and named the RBA as the cause around 10pm last night.
This suggests an issue with the Fast Settlement Service, on which the New Payments Platform depends.
At many banks customers will need to wait for a refund before resubmitting payments.
Shortly before publication, the RBA confirmed the FSS was now up and running, but there will be delays in processing the backlog of payments.
