FuPay down and out

Ian Rogers

FuPay - the Queensland-based buy now, pay later business that raised A$17 million to launch in 2019, has withdrawn its app from the Apple and Google app stores.

It has also shut down its website.

FuPay was backed a number of high-profile businesspeople including Jack Gance, a co-founder of Chemist Warehouse.

Points of difference for FuPay in the once congested (if small) BNPL domain were slender, such as spreading repayments over eight weeks (rather than four, which is the norm) and signing up merchants in the field of groceries and petrol retailing.
