AMP director takes APRA executive post
A director of AMP Life, Ian Laughlin, will replace outgoing Australian Prudential Regulation Authority executive member John Trowbridge, who finishes a four-year term at the end of the month.
The appointment was announced yesterday by the Minister for Financial Services, Chris Bowen. From July 1 the APRA executive group will be made up of chairman John Laker, deputy chairman Ross Jones and Laughlin.
Laughlin has served as the managing director of the UK subsidiary of AMP Financial Services. He has held senior management positions at Suncorp and National Mutual and is currently chairman of the board audit committee of AMP Life.
