ANZ staff reject EBA

ANZ employees rejected an enterprise agreement proposal by a margin of two to one, the Finance Sector Union said yesterday.

The FSU said the enterprise agreement attracted 5028 "Yes" votes and 9127 "No" votes in a ballot that concluded at the weekend.

According to the union, as a result of the ballot the bank's current agreement will remain in force and eligible Groups 5 & 6 staff will receive backdated pay increases or one off payments of between 1.25 per cent and 4.5 per cent.

The bank proposal included what the union viewed as "clawbacks on job security, hours of work and penalty rates, and a broken pay model," FSU national secretary Fiona Jordan said.
