Briefs: BNZ picks CFO and AMMB sets profit target 17 August 2012 4:44PM Briefs, Bank of New Zealand has appointed Adrienne Duarte as chief financial officer. She replaces Ken Christie, who is returning to NAB after five years with BNZ. Duarte will join BNZ in September, with Christie returning to NAB at the year's end, Interest.co.nz reports. Duarte was most recently general manager of group performance and planning at NAB. AMMB in Malaysia (an associate of ANZ) has set a target to grow net profit by between nine and 12 per cent each year for the next three years, The Star reports. Facets of National Australia Bank's 2001 dealings with the then alleged (and now convicted) prohibited drugs importer Tony Mokbel feature in files released by the Supreme Court of Victoria and reported by The Age. NAB's then manager at Mount Waverley Business Banking Centre told his employers he had ''supreme confidence'' in Mokbel's ''integrity''. The document details plans to reorganise the funding of Mokbel's then assets in light of a threat by state authorities to confiscate them.
