First Data's Tait moves to Indue

Payments company Indue Limited has hired John Tait, the managing director of First Data in Australia for the last four years.

Tait will join Indue team as executive director strategic development and distribution. He finishes at First Data on Friday.


Tait said: "From the outset I always said I'd do four to five years with First Data and I've done that.

"Indue has got a really strong record of diversification and growth for the past few years and my remit is to continue to drive that.

"I see Indue at the tail end of a very successful transformation program and that excites me."

Tait said a couple of notable facets of his time at First Data were consolidation of the credit card processing platform for one bank and the growth of First Data's merchant acquiring platform.

Tait will be based at Indue's new "innovation centre" in Chatswood.
