MasterCard chief financial officer Martina Hund-Mejean said: "We have been settling with Tesco, which is the largest claimant in this litigation. We are pleased that is behind us." Tesco was one of 20 UK retailers that filed a claim against MasterCard in 2013. More settlements are expected to follow. Goldman Sachs has agreed to pay US$270 million to settle a mortgage securities-related lawsuit brought by an Illinois pension fund, which accused the bank of misleading investors about the risks associated with the offerings, CNBC reports.
