Job swaps at APRA

Four of APRA's most senior executives will swap jobs with a colleague, a measure probably intended as a signal to lower ranks to widen their knowledge of the sectors they supervise.

Charles Littrell, currently executive general manager, policy, will swap jobs with Sarah Goodman, executive general manager, supervisory support. This job swap takes effect from July.

Brandon Khoo will swap with Keith Chapman to take on the job of executive general manager, diversified institutions.

Chapman will replace Khoo as executive general manager, specialised institutions. This job swap takes effect from April.

APRA also said it will shift Steve Matthews to the post of executive general manager, corporate services. Matthews is currently APRA's chief financial officer.

The job rotations will elevate Goodman and Khoo to positions of greater prominence and push Littrell, a colourful public face of APRA, into the background.

APRA's website lists Goodman's financial services experience gained working for State Bank of NSW, Colonial, Commonwealth Bank, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and BT Financial.
